On completion, candidates will be able to:
- Lead and close a third-party audit conformant to ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021-1
- Author legally defensible Non-Conformance Reports under cross-examination
- Operate the Annex SL high-level structure across QMS, EMS, OH&S, ISMS and ABMS
- Execute Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits remotely with verifiable evidence chains
- Brief a Board on systemic risk and corrective-action architecture
03Course Outline
A blended pathway combining lecture (5), lab (0), and simulation (2) modules across 3 days. Assessed components are marked.
Day 1
Lesson 1.1 — 75 min · lecture
The Modular Audit Engine — Operating Principles
Self-paced opening lesson. The Engine is a unified Annex SL skeleton onto which any management-system Plug-In bolts. You learn the universal grammar of clauses 4 through 10, how IAF Multilateral Recognition makes a certificate portable across 80+ economies, and why a Lead Auditor's judgement — not a checklist — determines whether evidence will survive scrutiny. Embedded knowledge check (10 questions, 80% pass mark) unlocks the next lesson.
Lesson 1.2 — 90 min · lecture
Audit Programme Design under ISO 19011
Walk-through of a real audit programme for a multinational. Covers competence matrices, conflict-of-interest declarations, sampling strategy, and stage-1 readiness reviews. Includes a scenario assessment scored by the AI tutor.
Lesson 1.3 — 60 min · lecture
Risk-Based Thinking & Annex SL Clause 6
Risk-based thinking is the spine of every modern ISO standard. Lesson includes worked examples in ISO 31000 risk treatment and a graded short-answer assessment that requires a clause-cited response.
Lesson 1.4 — 75 min · workshop
Evidence, Sampling & Cross-Examination
Doctrine for evidence collection that holds up in regulator review, court, or a hostile Board meeting. Concludes with a recorded oral defence exercise — your AI tutor cross-examines you.
Day 2
Lesson 2.1 — 90 min · workshop
Plug-In Selection: Matching Standard to Jurisdiction
Decision framework for stacking Plug-Ins. Worked global cases: BHP (45001+14001+31000), Saudi Aramco (45001+14001+50001), Maersk (14001+27001+22301).
Lesson 2.2 — 75 min · lecture
Annex SL Deep Dive — Clauses 4 through 10
Clause-by-clause architectural read. Every Plug-In bolts onto these seven clauses. Assessment requires you to map a real organisation onto Clause 4 (context) within the workspace.
Lesson 2.3 — 90 min · workshop
Non-Conformance Architecture
How to write an NCR that survives appeal. Structure: finding, evidence, clause citation, root cause, severity calibration. Graded NCR submission via the Assessment Workshop unlocks Day 3.
Lesson 2.4 — 60 min · lecture
Remote & Hybrid Audit Doctrine
Post-2020 doctrine for verifying evidence remotely. IAF MD4 conformance, video-witnessed sampling, and the legal weight of digital records.
Day 3
Lesson 3.1 — 60 min · workshop
Crisis Pre-Brief — Reading the Scenario
Final-day opener. Briefing pack analysis: how to land in an unfamiliar industry within 30 minutes and identify the three findings that matter to the Board.
Lesson 3.2 — 120 min · simulation
War Room — Live AI Avatar Interrogations
The flagship exercise. You enter the war room and interview AI avatars representing a defensive CEO, a cooperative QHSE Manager, an evasive Site Supervisor and a strategic General Counsel. Risk flags are scored in real time.
Lesson 3.3 — 75 min · assessment
NCR Portfolio Submission
Submit four NCRs against the simulation: at least one critical and one systemic. Rubric scoring: clarity (25), evidence (25), root cause (25), severity calibration (25). 70-point threshold required to proceed.
Lesson 3.4 — 60 min · assessment
Boardroom Readout & Capstone Examination
Final examination and Board readout. On pass, the platform automatically issues your verifiable Modular Audit Engine Lead Auditor credential, recognised under CQI/IRCA and Exemplar Global pathways.
15:00 — 16:00 · exam
Final Knowledge Assessment
Twenty-question multiple-choice assessment covering every clause area introduced in Modular Audit Engine — 3-Day Executive Track. Pass mark 70%.
16:00 — 18:00 · simulation
Closeout: Live Audit & NCR Drafting
Live War Room simulation tied to Modular Audit Engine — 3-Day Executive Track. Conduct an AI-driven interview, evidence-gather, then draft a defensible Non-Conformance Report for evaluation.
